PILATES
Pilates is “Quality Movement”. It is a form of body conditioning targeting the deep postural muscles to create a strong core.
It works by re-balancing and strengthening the muscles therefore improving posture and alignment; it also improves flexibility and it is a great way to relieve unwanted stress and tension.
It is based on eight key principles:
- Relaxation
- Breathing
- Concentration
- Flawing movements
- Alignment
- Co-ordination
- Centring and stamina
It can be taught on a one to one private session or in a group matwork class.
