Claire Slater BSc ( Hons ) Physiotherapy
Claire graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Brighton in 2004 and went on to graduate as an Osteopath from the London School of Osteopathy in 2008. She is registered with both the Health Professionals Council (HPC) and the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
Having worked in the NHS and privately Claire has developed an extensive knowledge base and a broad range of physiotherapeutic clinical skills. She treats a variety of patients with a wide range of conditions including neck and back pain, arthritis, headaches and migraines, neurological disorders and sports injuries.
As a physiotherapist Claire aims to promote, maintain and restore the physical and psychological well-being of her patients whilst helping to manage any long-term (chronic) complaints, in particular where movement and function are threatened by injury, disease or the process of ageing.
Techniques used are strengthening, stretching and stability exercises, as well as joint mobilisations, massage and dry needling (a form of acupuncture). Exercise is an important part of healthy living, however that does not mean going to the gym and pounding weights or running a marathon. It simply means walking more outdoors and doing a few exercises indoors that will keep your joints moving and healthy.
Claire is motivated, friendly and approachable and above all has a strong commitment to patient care. |
