Corrective Exercise
What is corrective exercise?
Corrective Exercise is a modality of rehabilitation and performance conditioning that is based on sound scientific principles. Using cutting edge biomechanical and functional movement pattern
assessments to first ascertain your level of complexity and exercise
readiness; we can then follow a set of principles that have a proven
track record in educing pain, increasing health and maximising
performance.
What we do...
Evolving out of a need for a truly holistic approach to spinal and
postural rehabilitation Jon Bowskill’s Team offers a comprehensive,
unique and innovative solution to resolving long term relief from
pain, improving health and increasing performance. We have found
both in personal experience and in the research literature that the
fastest and most long term benefits are achieved with a comprehensive
and bespoke rehabilitation programme.
The Process
Typically our approach begins with a 90 minute evaluation. This
focuses on, finding out all the details of your history, how you
became injured, any treatment you have already had, and what level of
activity you wish to get back to. Also within this time we will
biomechanically evaluate your body in great detail which involves
assessing the shape of your spine, measuring how well it moves as
well as testing to find our how well balanced and strong the muscles
of your body are. We offer two levels of programming within our
system to support your progression.
The first level involves a 90
minute evaluation with two follow up 60 minute training sessions
where you will learn your programme to take away for 4-6 weeks. the
second level is a 90 minute evaluation followed by continued training
on a weekly basis.
