ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE
Most of us feel pain and stiffness because we place too much tension and strain on our muscles and joints in the way we move and perform tasks in our personal life or in our business. The Alexander Technique challenges our habits by getting us to stop and consider whether our habits are harmful and if they are, it gives us clear instruction as to how they can be avoided
The Technique was developed by FM Alexander (1869-1955). It has been taught for over 100 years and has been endorsed by many eminent people.
Professor N. Tinbergen, Nobel Prize for Medicine 1973, said: "I recommend the Alexander Technique as an extremely sophisticated form of rehabilitation...From personal experience we can already confirm some of the seemingly fantastic claims made by Alexander and his followers - namely, that many types of underperformance and even ailments, both mental and physical, can be alleviated, sometimes to a surprising degree, by teaching the body musculature to function differently."
